Mildred “Millie” L Jones Faulkenberg, 78, Bristow

Mildred “Millie” L. Jones Faulkenberg, 78, of Bristow, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Scenic Hills at the Monastery in Ferdinand, Indiana.

Millie was born in St. Meinrad, Indiana on September 23, 1946, to the late Alvin “Cotton” H. Denning and Mary Helen (Gunselman) Denning.

Millie was an active member of Redemption Christian Church in Tell City, Ind., where she also attended Bible Study and helped as a custodian for the church. She enjoyed helping her husband, Larry, around the farm and loved and adored her grandchildren, attending many of their events over the years.

She had worked at Master Brand Cabinets, retiring in 2008, after 41 years of service.

In addition to her parents, Millie is preceded in death by her first husband, David Jones; her son, Steve Jones; her brother, Marcelline “Moosie” Denning; and her brother-in-law, Bob Heeke.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Faulkenberg of Bristow; her sons, Jeff (Susan) Jones of Ft. Wayne and Gary (Annette) Jones of Santa Claus; her stepdaughter, Johnna (Lonnie) Madley of Eckerty; her grandchildren, Sophia, Samuel, Abigail, Matthew, Megan, Everitt, Heather, Zach, and Randi; nine great-grandchildren and one on the way; her siblings, Sara Heeke of Bretzville, Albert “Erfle” (Mary) Denning of St. Meinrad, Eileen (Bill) Marks of Jasper, Mary Ann (Randy) Olinger of Ferdinand, and Dorothy Fleck of Jasper.

Services are 12 p.m. CST Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Redemption Christian Church, 3515 Mozart St., Tell City, with Pastor Corey Andry officiating. Burial will follow at St. Meinrad Cemetery.

Visitation is 9 A.M. until 12 p.m. CST on Tuesday at the church.
