Mildred Mae Bridge, 89, Holland

Mildred Mae Bridge, 89, of Holland, passed away at 12:30  p.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at Northwood Retirement Community, Jasper.

Mildred was born September 1, 1927, in Royal Oak Township, Michigan to Lee Harris and Fernie Iva (Fillmore) Weldon.  She was united in marriage to William “Bill” Thomas Bridge on November 6, 1948, at Holy Name Church in Birmingham, Mich.

She was a homemaker and in years past, had been a volunteer at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Huntingburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Lawrence Bridge; two brothers, John D. and Lealand B. Weldon.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Bridge; seven children, Lynn Allison, Deborah Semifero, William “Lee” Bridge, Joel Bridge, Nanette (John) Hankins, Steven (Joanne) Bridge and Joanne Kennard; a brother; Howard J. Weldon; by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren .

A funeral mass will be celebrated for Mildred Mae Bridge on Saturday, June 17th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg.  Fr. Ryan Hilderbrand will officiate.  Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of St. Benedict.
