Mildred L. Langebrake, 94

Mildred L. Langebrake, age 94, of Huntingburg, passed away at 4:50 a.m., Monday, April 16, 2012 at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.

She was born September 7, 1917 in Holland, IN to Walter and Kate (Sakel) Langebrake. Mildred graduated from Huntingburg High School in 1935. The following summer she started working at the Indiana Produce Company and stayed there until 1950. She then went to work for The First National Bank of Huntingburg where she was employed as a bank teller and bookkeeper until she retired in 1980.

She was a life-long member of the Huntingburg United Methodist Church and did volunteer work for many years at the former St. Joseph’s Hospital in Huntingburg.

She enjoyed bowling, quilting, reading books, flower gardening, and traveling. She was preceded in death by: her sister, Geneva E. Langebrake, who died July 26, 2003.

Funeral services for Mildred L. Langebrake will be held at 11:00 a.m., E.D.T., on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg. The Rev. Paula Young Mayberry will officiate the services.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Wednesday, the morning of the funeral. Memorial contributions may be made to: The Huntingburg United Methodist Church or a favorite charity.
