Mildred A. (Becher) Bolte, 86

Mildred A. (Becher) Bolte, 86, of Ferdinand, passed away, Monday, April 27, 2015 at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand of pancreatic cancer.

Mildred was born September 3, 1928 at St. Meinrad to Albert and Magdalena (Neu) Becher. She married Arthur Bolte on June 21, 1949 in St. Meinrad Archabbey Church.

Arthur preceded Mildred in death on December 16, 2005. Mildred and Arthur were former owners of Bolte Lumber Company in Ferdinand for 40 years. She was a member of St. Ferdinand Parish and its St. Ann’s Sodality and a Charter Member of Tops IN. #835.

Mildred is survived by a son, Mark Bolte and wife Mary of Ferdinand; a daughter, Connie Higdon and husband Charles of Mt. Washington, KY. ; Grandchildren Brooke and husband Jeremy Orth, Jason and wife Barb, Jarrod and wife Wendy  , Jesse and wife Pam Bolte, Autumn and Cole Bolte; great-grandchildren, Lila, Ben, Isabelle, Cooper and Megan;  step-grandchildren; step great-grandchildren and  step great-great-grandchildren. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; three sisters, Amanda Kunkler, Irma Fischer, Anna Mae Kunkler; three brothers, Ambrose, Harold and Roman Becher; a son-in-law Steve Stevens.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 2nd, in Saint Ferdinand Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, May 1st from 2 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 7 to 9:30 a.m. at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Ferdinand Church Refresh.
