Michael Wayne VanHoosier, 73, Dale

Michael Wayne VanHoosier, 73, of Dale, passed away at 11:58 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville.

He was born August 1, 1952, in Marion, Indiana, to Victor and Velma (King) VanHoosier.

Michael was a farmer and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and motorcycle riding.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Steve VanHoosier; and his parents.

Michael is survived by his wife, Connie Jean (Spurlock) VanHoosier of Dale; five children, Chris VanHoosier of Dale, J.D. VanHoosier of Mariah Hill, Amy Freeman of Stendal, Toni Sandoval of Selvin, and Terry VanHoosier of Tell City; three siblings, Donna Russell of Birdseye, Mary Eaton of Gas City, and Betty Watson of Gas City; by eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Nass & Son Funeral Home of Huntingburg has been entrusted with the final arrangements.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
