Michael P. Brosmer, 69, Huntingburg

Michael P. Brosmer, 69, Huntingburg, passed away at 9:50 a.m. Saturday, September 17, 2016, at his home.

He was born February 17, 1947, in Belleville, Ill., to Gilbert and Sheila (Richardson) Brosmer.

Mr. Brosmer was a carpenter; an auxiliary member of the V.F.W. Post #2366; and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed tossing horseshoes and playing cards.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sheila Brosmer Fleck; his father, Gilbert Brosmer; and two brothers, Allan Brosmer and Larry Brosmer.

He is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Chris Brosmer of Huntingburg; Anita (Gerald) Brosmer-Begle of Ferdinand; one son, Steven Brosmer of Bloomington; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Susan (Daniel) Kuper of Glendale, Ariz., and Sharon Brosmer of Slidell, La.; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Dennis Brosmer of Loogootee and David (Barbara) Brosmer of Evansville; and one granddaughter, Keiara Begle, at home in Ferdinand.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Michael P. Brosmer will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2016, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. Friends may call for visitation at the funeral home from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, the day of the service.
