Michael L Kimmel, 36, Paoli

Michael L Kimmel, 36, of Paoli, passed away Friday, November 3, 2023, in Louisville, Ky.

He was born in Dubois County on October 4, 1987, to David Kimmel and Rose Barkley.

He married Tawnee M Martin on September 7, 2019, and she survives.

He was a member of the Dubois High School class of 2006. Michael was formerly employed at Denu Bros. chicken house in Dubois.

He was a lover of the outdoors, loving fishing, lawn mowing, and landscaping. He also enjoyed working on vehicles.

Michael was preceded in death by maternal and paternal grandparents and Uncle Jake Kimmel.

He is survived by his wife, Tawnee Kimmel of Paoli; mother, Rose Barkley of Jasper; father and stepmother, David (Joyce) Kimmel of Huntingburg; stepbrothers, Justin (Vanessa) Rembe of Birdseye and Shane (Heather) Remb of Oakland City; brother-in-law, Tim Martin of French Lick; also surviving Michael are several nieces and nephews. He also left behind his beloved dog, Meishka.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.

Visitation will be held at Dillman Scott Funeral Home, 226 West Campbell St, Paoli, on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with the funeral being held at 1:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Crystal Cemetery, Crystal.
