Michael L. Chamness, 55, Jasper

Michael L. Chamness, 55, of Jasper, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2019, at his residence surrounded by loved ones.

Michael was born in Sindelfingen, Germany, on May 16, 1964, to James David Chamness and Brigitte Augusta (Dobler) Chamness. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Jasper. He was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed listening to jazz music including Joe Bonamassa. He was also a big X-Box gamer.

He is survived by his former wife and genuine companion in life, Valerie Eversoll; daughter, Bailie Nicole Eversoll; mother, Brigitte (Terry Culver); stepmom, Charlene Petty; four younger siblings, Marisa (David) Anderson, George Anthony (Melanie) Chamness, Dustin (Kasey) Chamness, Logan Chamness; nieces and nephews, Benjamin, Rachel, and William Anderson, Zacary, Syndie, and Michael Chamness; and many other family members that loved him.

Michael is preceded in death by his father, James D. Chamness.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2020, at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 3556 N Portersville Road, Jasper, followed by a fellowship gathering till 3 p.m.
