Michael K. Case, 69, Gentryville
Michael K. Case, 69, passed away on March 31, 2019, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.

Michael was born in Frankfort, KY on September 2, 1949, to the late Roy and Ruby (Leathers) Case.
Michael was a graduate of Western High School in Anderson, Ky., and had attended the University of Kentucky. He was also a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Vietnam. He was a truck driver for Nancy Baer Trucking in Jasper.
Michael attended Gentryville United Methodist Church and had attended Berean Bible Church in Evansville. He was a member of Gentryville Lodge #424 F & AM, Odd Fellows Canal Lodge 209 in Chandler, Ferdinand American Legion Post 124, and the NRA. He was also an avid UK fan. He and LaVon started CHOP (Children Helping Other People) out of their home, where they ministered upwards to 100 children a week, loving them, feeding them, and sharing scripture. He and his friend, Earl, were reigning marble champions.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill Case and Roy Kidwell Case.
Michael is survived by his wife, LaVon (Spencer) Case, whom he married on July 24, 1976; sons Ray Matheis and his wife, Tammy, of Dale and Jamison Beard of Gentryville; daughter, Michelle Stevens of Dale; brothers, Steve Case and his wife, Ruby, of Shelbyville, Ky., Jim Case and his wife, Lisa, of Frankfort, Ky.; sister, Alla Case of Lexington, Ky.; grandchildren, Toby Ray Farris, Jeremy and Jonathan Matheis, Leslie Keisling, Earl Stevens, Justin Huff; great-grandchildren, T.J., Ryan, and Arlene Farris, Odin, Keaton, Kaydence, and Trystan Matheis, Jobe Keisling, Carter Beard; best friends, Earl & Gina Murphy.
Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Gentryville United Methodist Church in Gentryville with Reverend Charlotte Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Mayo Cemetery in Duff.
Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the church.
