Michael Jacob Volz, 20, Huntingburg

Michael Jacob Volz, 20, of Huntingburg, passed away at 5:43 p.m., Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at home surrounded by his family.

He was born August 11, 1996, in Huntingburg to Jacob Lee Volz and Stephanie Petry.

Michael was an avid video gamer. He was a Bob Marley fan and devoted to his dog, Luna.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Pam Wollenman; great-grandparents, Clarence and Sylvia Petry, Don Barkley, John and Emma Volz; and cousin, Isaac Fawks.

He is survived by his mother, Stephanie Petry (fiancé, William Frye II) of Huntingburg; father, Jacob Lee Volz of Jasper; grandparents, Danny and Marcia Petry of Jasper, Dee and Dan Hochgesang, Mary Ann Barkley and Chester Volz all of Huntingburg; sisters, Jessica Volz and Jasmine Volz both of Huntingburg; brother, Christian Dominguez of Huntingburg; stepsister, Aliviah Frye and stepbrother, Villjo Frye both of Indianapolis; nephew, Darius Guitterez and one niece on the way; and by half-brothers and half-sisters.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2017. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Saturday evening, at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg.
