Ed was born to Michael and Sandra Eckert on January 2, 1969. He was a resident of Evansville and a native of Huntingburg. He graduated from Southridge High School in 1987 and proudly obtained a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Ed was not afraid of change and explored various careers before finding success as a supply chain manager.

Ed was a proud and loving father of two daughters. He supported their individuality, goals, and interests by embracing his own. He was a self-proclaimed introvert who despised small talk but sought connection, meaningful conversations, and the occasional heated debate. His passions included cooking, family outings at the lake, quality adult beverages, Jeep rides, tattoos, Sci-Fi, darts, music, Halloween, and being a grandfather. His heart, mind, and dedication will be missed by many.

He is survived by his father, Michael Eckert; stepmother, Patricia Eckert; daughter, Kylie (Matt) Wester; daughter, Leah (Jonathan) Ruppe; three grandchildren, Claire, Reece, and Taylor Ruppe; brother, Bryan (Krystal) Eckert; nephew, Hunter Eckert; niece, Alexis Eckert; step-siblings Michele (Glenn) Hedinger and Nathan Brittingham.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Eckert.
