Michael E. Parsons, 60, died at 5:55 a.m. Saturday at his home.
Born June 9, 1952, in Burns C
ity, he was the son of George and Mamie (Street) Parsons. He was a 1970 graduate of Loogootee High School and was retired from U.S. Gypsum in Shoals where he worked as a computer knifeman.
Michael was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. He also enjoyed camping and traveling with his wife.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Beck) Parsons, whom he married Jan. 1, 2000;
One daughter, Denise and husband Allen Henninger of Loogootee;

- Mildred and husband Chris Cloud, Ingalls, IN
and seven grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and four brothers, Thomas “Jr” Parsons, Samuel Bristow Parsons, William Lester Parsons and George Lee Parsons.
A Loving Celebration of Life for Michael E. Parsons will be from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Ireland.
At noon a Memorial Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Stephen Lintzenich at the church.
