Michael D. Schnarr, 62

Michael D. Schnarr, age 62 of Jasper, passed away at 6:49 a.m. Sunday, August 25, 2013, in Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center in Jasper.

He was born in Huntingburg, Indiana, May 21, 1951, to LeRoy and Iona (Neukam) Schnarr. He married Joann M. Kieffner on August 5, 1973 in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville, Indiana.

Michael was a Boone Township Farmer and Bus Driver for the Greater Jasper School Corporation for 20 years. He had worked for Jasper Engines and Transmissions traveling with their NSACAR team. . He also served as caretaker for St. John’s Church for many years.

He is a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boone Township.

Surviving: wife, Joann Schnarr; two sons, Douglas Schnarr and wife Kiley, Clayton, IN and Dr. Chad Schnarr and wife Janet, Hillsboro, TN; four grandchildren; Logan, Brooke, Chase and Jessica; parents; LeRoy and Iona Schnarr, Jasper.

Funeral services for Michael Schnarr will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday (August 29, 2013) in St. John’s Lutheran Church with burial to follow in St. John’s Cemetery. The Rev. Timothy Kraemer will officiate.

Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday (August 28, 2013) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.
