Michael  D. Gehlhausen, 54, of Dubois

Michael  D. Gehlhausen, 54, of Dubois, passed away at 2:50 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper.

Michael was born in Jasper on August 5, 1962 to Edgar and Dian (Rohrscheib ) Gehlhausen.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He worked as a mechanic and also worked for Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center. He enjoyed reading, especially history, and he participated in in Civil War reenactments. He also enjoyed listening to music.

He is survived by his parents, Edgar and Dian Gehlhausen of Dubois; and one brother, Brett L. Gehlhausen of Dubois.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents.

Funeral services for Michael D. Gehlhausen will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 29, 201, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Karen Husby will officiate.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville, IN.
