Meyer Distributing employee arrested for theft of company credit card

Jasper – Jasper police arrested 23-year-old Devonte J. Chatman, of 1328 Main Street, Jasper, for using a company credit card to make personal purchases.

Today, the department received a complaint from Meyer Distributing that Chatman had stolen a company credit card at about 1 p.m.

Police determined Chatman had used it to make purchases at Hibbett Sporting Goods and the Northside Citgo gas station totaling $208.40.

While officers were taking Chatman into custody they found a marijuana pipe on his person.

Police charged Chatman with theft, fraud and possession of paraphernalia. He was booked into the Dubois County Security Center.
