According to authorities, Master Trooper Lytton was contacted by Santa Claus Police Officers James Faulkenberg and Ted Klem indicating they had developed additional information into an investigation that Lytton was leading. Faulkenburg and Klem had learned that Wyman E. Alvey, 59, Santa Claus, had allegedly purchased items from a local business that are commonly used to manufacture methamphetamine.

Lytton requested and was granted a search warrant for Alvey’s residence which is located in the Christmas Lake Village.

During the course of the search warrant investigation, the officers located what they believed to be an active meth lab. Members of the Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team were called to the scene to inspect and collect the suspected meth lab for laboratory analysis.
