Mentor’s for Youth names Kerstiens Companies as title sponsor of Howl at the Moon fundraiser

Mentors for Youth of Dubois County has named The Kerstiens Companies as the exclusive Grand Howl Sponsor for this year’s Howl at the Moon fundraiser, set for Sept. 18 at the Thyen Clark Cultural Center.

As title sponsor, The Kerstiens Companies is helping fund the event, which will include dinner, drinks, dancing, a silent auction and a dueling pianos performance, organizers said.

Proceeds from Howl at the Moon support programs Mentors for Youth provides to children across Dubois County.

Mentors for Youth of Dubois County matches youth ages 6 to 14 with adult mentors who commit to spending two hours every other week with a mentee for one year. Mentors work with youth on goal-setting and life skills such as decision-making, problem-solving and communication. The organization also organizes community service and recreational activities for participants.

Tables and tickets remain available for the event, which begins at 6 p.m. Guests will be served heavy appetizers from Carodella’s and can bid in a silent auction. The evening’s entertainment will feature a dueling pianos performance with the addition of saxophone and drums.
