Menerva Ellen Hopper, 85, French Lick

Menerva Ellen Hopper, 85, of French Lick, entered into eternal rest on May 30, 2021, at Springs Valley Meadows, French Lick, Indiana.

She was born at Bicknell, Indiana on September 15th, 1935 to Arthur and Mary Lou (Marvel) Riggle.

Ellen married Charles E. “Eddie” Hopper on January 11th, 1951 and he preceded her in death in 1993.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Charles Eugene Hopper; sister, Velma Riggle; two half-sisters, Snowful Payne and Genieve Erwin.

Ellen is survived by two sons, Billie Joe Hopper (Bea) of Dubois and Floyd E. (Pete) Hopper (Dora) of West Baden Springs; two daughters, Sharon D. Wininger of Paoli and Bonnie E. Kellams of West Baden Springs; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral ceremony will be conducted by Pastor John Moffatt on Friday, June 4, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home with burial to follow in Ames Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation for friends will be Friday, June 4, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
