Melissa Jo (Deputy) Wagner, 60, Evansville
Melissa Jo (Deputy) Wagner, 60, of Evansville and formerly of Princeton, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026, surrounded by her family.

She was born on November 28, 1965, to the late Clifton and Mary Jo (Phebus) Deputy and grew up in Oakland City. She graduated from Wood Memorial High School and later earned an associate’s degree from Vincennes University.
Melissa married Ed Wagner on October 1, 1988, and they were married for 37 years.
Melissa worked at Potter & Brumfield before dedicating more than 20 years to the Junior League of Evansville, a nonprofit organization. She cared deeply about serving others and generously gave her time to charitable and community organizations. Wherever she lived, Melissa found ways to support and be involved in her community.
She was a member of City Church in Evansville and enjoyed being involved in the church community.
Melissa loved spending time with her family and traveling, whether it was a small trip or a larger adventure. She was a devoted wife and mother, and being “Mimi” to her grandchildren was one of the greatest joys of her life.
Melissa is survived by her husband, Ed Wagner; children, Megan Dodd (Joshua), Colton Wagner (Dana Grout), and Mackenzie Mulherin (Dillon); grandchildren, Ryker Dodd, Beckett Dodd, Lennox Dodd, Hunter Grout, Brooks Mulherin, Sebastian Wagner, and Brady Mulherin; and several cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her parents-in-law, Paul and Shirley Wagner.
The funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2026, at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Brad Keenan officiating. Burial will follow at Forsythe Cemetery in Oakland City. Visitation hours will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 12, at the funeral home.
