Meet the cows at Francis Lindauer & Sons Dairy Farm
Francis Lindauer & Sons Dairy Farm is inviting the community to celebrate June Dairy Month with a visit to their modern dairy farm located at 9331 S Club Road just outside the town of Ferdinand.
The event will take place on Saturday, June 29 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. (EST).
The open house, designed for visitors of all ages, includes tours of the Lindauer dairy farm, meet and greets with the farmers and their cows, free Domino’s pizza, and dairy treats provided by Prairie Farms Dairy while supplies last.
The Forest Park FFA students will be putting on a kiddie tractor pull along with other kid activities throughout the afternoon. Kids of all ages will be delighted by an appearance from a real-life robot that travels the barn aisle to make sure cows can reach their food.
Francis Lindauer & Sons Dairy Farm has been caring for dairy cows in southwestern Indiana since 1933. Today, 400 cows call the Lindauer Dairy their home and the farm sells its milk to the nearby Holland, Indiana Prairie Farms processing plant. Visitors can expect friendly cows, great food, and a captivating behind-the-scenes tour.
