Maxine D. Boehman, 84, St. Meinrad

Maxine D. Boehman, 84, of St. Meinrad, passed away on March 6, 2019, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.

Maxine was born March 8, 1934, in Adyeville to Preston and Lostie (Dotterweich) Van Winkle. She married Charles Boehman on December 27, 1952, in St. Meinrad Archabbey Church. He preceded her in death on August 7, 2002.

Maxine was a member of St. Meinrad Catholic Church. She was a 1952 graduate of Bristow High School. Maxine enjoyed gardening, flowers and music. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Maxine is survived by three sons, Gene (Mary Jane) Boehman of Ferdinand, Gerald “Jerry”(Mary) Boehman and Rick (Vicki) Boehman, both of Jasper; three daughters, Cheryl Phillips and Mary Ann (Ron) Meyer, both of St. Meinrad and Maxine (Tony) Friedel of Bristow; one brother, Harold Van Winkle of Ferdinand; three sisters, Faye Hagedorn of Santa Claus, Wanda Flamion of Carmel and Alice Woebkenberg of Evansville; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; brothers, Jim and John Van Winkle and a sister Lois Ann Van Winkle.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. CST Monday in St. Meinrad Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 to 7 p.m. CST at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand and also on Monday from 7:00 to 9:30 a.m. CST at the funeral home.
