Matilda Loechte, 95

Matilda Loechte, age 95, passed away at 9:45 p.m. Tuesday (January 22, 2013) in St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.

She was born at St. Anthony, Indiana January 28, 1917 to Henry and Elizabeth (Buechler) Reckelhoff. She married Lawrence Loechte September 26, 1936 in St. Anthony Catholic Church at St. Anthony, Indiana.

She worked at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper and later worked at the Jasper Holiday Inn and retired from the former Hoosier Desk Company in Jaspe

r.

She is a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Blessed Virgin Sodality and St. Ann’s Society.

She enjoyed playing cards and playing Bingo .

Daughter, Nancy Fest and her husband Dave, St. Anthony, IN

Son, Gerald Loechte , Salem, IN

Nine Grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

Sister, Catherine Waninger, Tell City, IN

Brother, Edward Reckelhoff Sr. , St. Anthony, In

Preceding her in death besides her husband are two sons, James and Larry Loechte and two great grandchildren. Also three sisters, Rose Schwindel, Margaret Heeke and Minnie Schnetzke. Two brothers, August (Gus) Reckelhoff, Othmar Reckelhoff.

Funeral services for Matilda Loechte will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday (January 26, 2013) in Holy Family Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Friday (January 25, 2013) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.

Rosary will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday by the Blessed Virgin Sodality and the St. Ann’s Society.

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church or to a favorite charity.
