MasterBrand Cabinets awards $10,000 in scholarships

MBCI announced the scholarship recipients for the 2019-2020 academic year.  

MBCI has been awarding scholarships to selected graduating seniors since 2000.

The scholarship program is open to all dependents of MBCI associates in the US and Canada who are graduating high school. Each recipient is awarded a $1,000 scholarship, which is renewable up to three additional years for a total of $4,000.

The ten recipients were selected by an independent third party based on their scholastics, community involvement, and extracurricular activities.

MBCI congratulates the following scholarship recipients:

Sampson Booth, of Liberty, NC, is the son of Waylon Booth, who works at the Liberty, NC, facility.  Sampson is a senior at Providence Grove High School and plans to major in Physical Therapy while attending the Campbell University.
Sara Hanebutt, of Evanston, IN, is the daughter of Bryan Hanebutt, who works at the Ferdinand, IN, facility.  Sara is a senior at Heritage Hills High School and plans to major in Social Work and Social Services while attending Indiana University.
Jadon Mehringer, of Jasper, IN, is the son of Marianne Mehringer, who works at the Corporate Office in Jasper, IN.  Jadon is a senior at Jasper High School and plans to major in Physical Sciences while attending Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis.
Millie Prechtel, of Huntingburg, IN, is the daughter of Ryan Prechtel, who works at the Corporate Office in Jasper, IN.  Millie is a senior at Jasper High School and plans to major in Textile and Apparel Management while attending University of Missouri – Columbia.  
Paige Small, of Jasper, IN, is the daughter of Emily Small, who works at the Corporate Office in Jasper, IN.  Paige is a senior at Jasper High School and plans to major in Art, Music, and Drama Education while attending Murray State University.  
Noah Smithson, of Winston Salem, NC, is the son of Ryan Smithson, who works at the Lexington, NC, facility.  Noah is a senior and is homeschooled. He plans to major in Engineering Systems while attending Western Carolina University.
William Sternberg, of Jasper, IN, is the son of Renae Sternberg, who works at the Corporate Office in Jasper, IN.  William is a senior at Jasper High School and plans to major in Flight (Professional Flight Technology) while attending Purdue University.  
Karlie Tischendorf, of Santa Claus, IN, is the daughter of Terry Tischendorf, who works at the Huntingburg, IN, facility.  Karlie is a senior at Heritage Hills High School and plans to major in Marine Biology while attending Purdue University.  
Alex Weyer, of Ferdinand, IN, is the son of Chris Weyer, who works at the Huntingburg, IN, facility.  Alex is a senior at Forest Park High School and plans to major in Mechanical Engineering Technology while attending Purdue University.
Katie Winkler, of Ferdinand, IN, is the daughter of Alan Winkler, who works at the Corporate Office in Jasper, IN.  Katie is a senior at Forest Park High School and plans to major in Music Performance while attending Baldwin-Wallace College.
