Mary Margaret “Peggy” Haugh, 84, Jasper

Mary Margaret “Peggy” Haugh, 84, Jasper, passed away Friday, May 13, 2016, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.

She was born May 8, 1932, in Glenn Ellyn, Ill., to Harold and Anne Napier.

Mrs. Haugh attended St. Patrick School and graduated from Wiley High School in Terre Haute. She attended Indiana University.

She worked as a Title I assistant at Davis Park Elementary in Terre Haute and 24 years at Hamilton Center Children’s Learning Center with Early Head Start. She retired in 2003. She earned her bus driving license at age 70.

She moved to Jasper in 2008 and was active at the Arnold F. Habig Community Center. She enjoyed devoting her time to her family, home and garden.

Surviving are two daughters, Laura and Ken Buck of Jasper and Margaret and Bill Crellin of Orlando, Fla.; four sons, John Vidal of Cape Coral., Fla., and Daniel, Andrew and Tony Vidal of Terre Haute; a brother, John Napier of Jensen Beach, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eamer Haugh; a sister, Patsy Nutall; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Napier.

Visitation will be at 2 p.m. EDT Saturday, June 4, at the Callahan-Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th St., Terre Haute. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. EDT.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Arnold F. Habig Community Center or Dubois County Humane Society.
