Mary M. Parker, 90, Jasper, passed away at 5:08 p.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2016, at home.

Mary was born in Cannelton, Indiana on January 8, 1926, to Rosina Horsley. She married Linus (Footsie) Parker on September 29, 1949, in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper. He preceded her in death on December 22, 1984.

Mary was a homemaker, and a member of the VFW Post #673 Auxiliary. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper. She enjoyed helping others, gardening and baking.

She is survived by three daughters, Mary Lou Englert of St. Anthony, Patty Parker of Jasper and Helen Hasenour and husband Jeff of Jasper; one son, Charles Parker and wife Hien of Jasper; four grandchildren, Duane Englert, Darin Englert, Amber Hasenour and Brooke Parker; six great-grandchildren, Paige, Andi, Ben, Sam, Tatum, and Adam; one sister, Dora Huff of Green Bay, Wis.

Preceding her in death beside her husband, was one son; Michael Parker, who died in infancy, and one son-in-law; Richard Englert.

Funeral services for Mary M. Parker will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 9, 2016, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at the church on Tuesday, August 9, 2016.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, The Dubois County Food Bank, or to a favorite charity.
