Mary Lee Eckert, 95, Jasper (formerly of Huntingburg)
Mary Lee Eckert, 95 of Jasper, formerly of Huntingburg, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2026, at The Timbers of Jasper.

She was born on December 18, 1930, in French Lick, Indiana, to Homer L. and Leona (Kellams) Andry.
Mary graduated from Birdseye High School in 1948 and went on to receive a BA in Elementary Education from Oakland City College in 1986, where she was a member of Sigma Kappa Sigma fraternity.
Mary had a multifaceted career working at The State House in Indianapolis, St. Joseph’s Hospital Outreach East for Chemical Dependency Services, Holiday Inn front desk, Watson’s Department Store layaway and returns department, the Civil Defense Shelter Management Training in Battle Creek, Michigan, and most loved, working as a substitute teacher. Mary also found joy in shopping, traveling on bus tours and to the beach and listening to Elvis Presley music.
She had been a member of Order of the Eastern Star Birdseye Chapter #590 for 50 years and V.F.W. Jasper Post #673 Ladies Auxiliary.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter-in-law, Ruth Ann Eckert; and son-in-law, Terry Mosson.
She is survived by her children, Monte Eckert, Kim Mosson, Mindy Eckert, Tamara Eckert; brother, Darrel (Dora) Andry; three grandsons; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two nieces.
Visitation for Mary Lee Eckert will be held at Nass and Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the service begins at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow in Birdseye Cemetery.
