Mary Kaye Gertz, 80, Clarksville
Mary Kaye Gertz, 80, formerly of Clarksville, passed away on Friday, Aug. 16, 2024, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.

Mary Kaye was born in New Albany, Ind., on Aug. 15, 1944, to the late William and Ada Leah Robison.
Mary Kaye married Gregor Gertz on July 18, 1962.
She was a resident of Clarksville for a total of 66 years, Lanesville — Georgetown area for 12 years, and Jasper for two years. She was a life-long member of Howard Park Christian Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, deaconess, and church board officer.
Mary Kaye was a 1962 graduate of Clarksville High School and a graduate of Indiana University Southeast. Mary Kaye retired as a scheduling secretary for the 9th Congressional District Staff, serving the Honorable Congressman Lee H. Hamilton and the Honorable Congressman Baron Hill. She was a past officer of the Pilot Club of Jeffersonville, former governor of the Pilot Club of Indiana, and a recipient of the Sagamore of the Wabash honorary award.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her late husband of 50 years, Gregor Gertz.
Mary Kaye is survived by her children, daughters, Melissa Langdon (Doug) and Mary Leah Siegel (Paul); son, William Gertz (Kris); grandchildren, Alexandria Vogt (Ryan), Mackenzie Prather (Grayson), and Bryant Langdon; Bryce and Drake Siegel; Cheney, Kayley, and Addison Gertz; great granddaughter, Ana Maria Vogt; her brother, Robert “Bob” Robison (Barbara); and numerous nephews, nieces and family members in the United States and Germany.
Visitation for Mary Kaye will be on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2024, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home, 431 West Harrison Avenue, Clarksville, IN 47129. Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2024, at the funeral home with burial to follow in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
