Mary Jo Tretter, 74, Fort Wayne
Mary Jo Tretter, 74, of Fort Wayne, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 14, 2018, at her home.

Mary Jo was born October 22, 1943, in Ferdinand to Joseph F. and Olivia Lueken. On October 26, 1963, she married Dennis Tretter.
She was a graduate of St. Ferdinand High School and of DeVry Beauty School. She owned and operated Be-Lov-Lee Beauty Shop in Ferdinand for 27 years.
After moving to Evansville, she managed a dentist office and was the store manager of Enhancing Moments in Newburgh.
Mary Jo delighted in dancing with her husband, enjoyed her travels, loved her grandchildren and appreciated her childhood and recent friendships.
Mary Jo is survived by her husband Dennis; daughter Maria (John) Tretter-Hope; grandsons, Bryson Tretter and Trenton, Grayson and Dalton Hope; and sister Barb (Jim) Schaefer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Merlyn (Cyrilla) Lueken, Edward Lueken, Oliver Lueken, James (Daisy) Lueken and godson, Paul Lueken.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018, at 10 a.m. EST at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 17, from 5 to 8 p.m. EST at Becher Funeral Home, Ferdinand.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made for masses or to Merciful Journey a nonprofit starting in Mary Jo’s honor to assist others in best quality of life on their journey to their Eternal Home.
A memorial service will also be held in Fort Wayne on June 16, 2018, at 11 a.m. at St Vincent’s Catholic Church with a celebration of life gathering following.
