Mary Jane Honea, 91, of Jasper

Mary Jane Honea, 91, of Jasper, passed away at 8:07 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.

Mary Jane was born in Kerens, Texas, on April 6, 1924 to Westley and Addie (Anderson) Paul. She married Ollie Honea on September 14, 1945. He preceded her in death on December 27, 1980.

Mary Jane was a homemaker and enjoyed knitting, at which she was very talented.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Honea and his wife Cindy of Hopkinsville, Kentucky and Randy Honea of Nashville, Tennessee; two granddaughters, Christy Faivre-Malloy and Melissa Honea; one great-grandson, David Spurlin.

Preceding her in death besides her husband are two sisters and four brothers.

Private services will be held at a later date.
