Mary H. Kuczynski, 90

Mary Kuczynski, age 90, of Jasper, Indiana passed away at 11:50 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2014, at the Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.

Mary was born on November 9, 1923 in Lodz, Poland to Czeslaw and Halina (Mleczak) Telatycki

She was interned in a German Labor camp in Poland during WWII and later immigrated to the United States in 1952 from England.

Mary was one of the original employees of United Cabinet in Celestine, Indiana, which later became Masterbrand Cabinet, from which she retired after 23 years.

She later worked for 15 years at the Providence Home in Jasper.

She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

She enjoyed traveling, dancing, and volunteered with Bingo and card playing at area nursing homes. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

She is survived by two daughters, Diane Schuessler and her husband Joseph, of West Palm Beach, Fla. and Irene Persohn, and her husband Dennis W., of St. Anthony; two sons, Conrad Kuczynski and his wife Debbie, of Fishers, Ind. and Andrew Kuczynski and his wife Connie, of Huntingburg; ten grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Janina Szczeniowska, of Warsaw, Poland.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Funeral services for Mary H. Kuczynski will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 9, 2014, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper, IN, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper, IN.

Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at the church on Monday.

In Lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church, Northwood Retirement Community.
