Mary Frances “Fran” Madlem, 83, Washington

Mary Frances “Fran” Madlem, 83, of Washington, passed away at her residence on March 16, 2025.

She was born on January 13, 1942, to Albert and Claire Morgan in Decker Chapel, IN.

Fran worked for Pike County EMS and was part owner and operator of Francesca’s Boutique for many years. She formerly attended Gospel Center Church in Petersburg.

Fran is survived by her husband, Ronald Madlem; daughter, Connie Davis; grandchildren, Carie Davis, Courtney Davis, Morgan Palma, and Christina Smith; great-grandchildren, Kaden Davis and Karsyn Baker; and sisters, Betty Morgan and Henri Hamstra.

She is preceded in death by her son, Curt Davis and grandson, Chris Davis.

Services for Fran will take place at 2 p.m. EST on Monday, March 24, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg with visitation from 10 a.m. until service time. Pastor Greg Davis will be officiating, and burial will follow at Walnut Hills Cemetery.
