Mary F. Hurm, 88

Mary F. Hurm, 88, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 2:45 a.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand, Indiana.

Mary was born on May 29, 1926 in Perry County Indiana to Herb and Mabel (Lewis) Lain.

Mary worked as a operator for the telephone companies in Jasper for over 23 years. She later retired from Aristokraft Cabinets in Jasper. She was a member of the Eagles in Huntingburg. She was also a past member of the VFW Post #673 Auxiliary. She enjoyed drawing, going to festivals and the Kentucky State Fair, and watching the television show The Big Bang Theory.

She is surviving by one daughter, Darlene Guerrero of Jasper; one son, Darrell Hurm and his wife Kathy of Derby; caretaker and grandson, Kevin Guerrero and his wife Teresa of Floyds Knobs; three other grandchildren, Jason, Jeremy and Josh Hurm; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Melvin Lain of Evansville; one sister, Catherine Kallbrier of Evansville.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Funeral services for Mary Hurm will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, IN, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper. Fr. William Traylor will officiate.

Friends may call from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
