Mary Elizabeth Lagenour, 73, Huntingburg

Mary Elizabeth Lagenour, 73, Huntingburg, passed away at 2:50 a.m. Sunday, September 4, 2016, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

She was born December 5, 1942, in Huntingburg to Elmer and Emily (Sattler) Ermert. She was united in marriage to Vernon E. Lagenour on July 3, 1959.

Mary worked as a CNA at Porter Memorial Hospital in Valparaiso, Indiana. Because of her husband’s job, she and her family lived in Chesterton, Indiana for 20 years.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon E. Lagenour, who died July 12, 1999; and one brother, Donald Ermert.

She is survived by one daughter, Andrea Lemond of Jasper; three sons, Everett Lagenour of Huntingburg, Douglas Lagenour of Hayfork, Cali. and Gregory Lagenour of Chesterton; two brothers, Gerald Ermert of Chesterton and Edward Ermert of Fenton, Mo.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Lagenour will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 8, 2016, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Mayo Cemetery near Duff, Indiana. Pastor Josh Brown will officiate at the service.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
