Mary Buchholz, 96
Mary Buchholz, age 96, of Jasper passed away at 8:20 p.m. Monday (February 13, 2012) at Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.
She was born in Halbur, Iowa on June 5, 1915 to Peter and Mary (Hoffert) Reinart. She married Wilben A. Buchholz on May 22, 1937 and he preceded her in death on January 26th, 1997.
Mary was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, and the Rose Society. She was also a member of the Memorial Hospital Auxillary and the Madeleva Club.
Her hobbies included gardening, playing bridge and euchre.

Preceding Mary in death besides her husband, are two sisters Genevieve Gehling and Gladys Langel.
Funeral services for Mary Buchholz will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday (February 18, 2012) at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call one hour before services at the church on Saturday (February 18, 2012) from 9:00-10:00 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Northwood Retirement Community, or to a favorite charity.
