Mary Ann Martin, 94, Jasper

Mary Ann Martin, 94, formerly of Marion, Ill., passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024, at Northwood Good Samaritan in Jasper.

Mary was born September 28, 1929, in Corinth, Ill., a daughter of Aaron and Floye Faye (Conwell) Riddle.

She married the love of her life, William F. Martin, on July 30, 1948, in Corinth, Ill., and together they shared over 75 years of marriage until his death on September 28, 2023.

Mary became a Christian as a teenager, was a very faithful member of her church, and served as President of the WCG of Indiana. Mary’s life work was loving and caring for her family; her grandsons, Richard and Matt, benefited from this wonderful attention and knew that she always put their care first.

She will be remembered by her family as a wonderful Christian woman who was extremely loving and kind.

She is survived by two grandsons, Richard C. (Jennifer) Sizemore of Laytonsville, Md. and Matt (Tessie) Sizemore of Jasper; great-grandchildren, Kayla (Brad) Bolden, Lauren Goad, Katelyn Sizemore, Austin Sizemore, Michael Sizemore; great-great-grandchild, Liam Bolden; sister, Susan Seagle (David) of Marion, Ill.; and several nieces & nephews.

She is preceded in death by her spouse, William F. Martin; daughter, Mary Leslie Waite; her parents, Aaron Oopo and Floye Faye (Conwell) Riddle; two brothers, Aaron Riddle and Bobby Riddle; and her Sister and brother-in-law, Elsie (Robert) Seagle.

Burial will in Dillingham Cemetery in Corinth, Illinois at a later date. Blue Funeral Home in Marion, Illinois is assisting the family with arrangements.
