Mary Ann Alvey, 65, Huntingburg

Mary Ann Alvey, 65, of Huntingburg, formerly of Velpen, passed away at 8:16 a.m. Friday, April 27, 2018, at Memorial Hospital in Jasper.

She was born January 9, 1953, in Perry County, Indiana to Earl and Theresa (Kupper) Kline. She married Jerry Ray Alvey in 1977 at Rockport.

Mary worked as a housekeeper and dietary aide at Providence Home. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg. Mary enjoyed angels, yard sales, and country music.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Jerry Ray Alvey, who died January 29, 2013.

She is survived by two sisters, Betty (Roger) Phillips of Huntingburg and Marlene King of Stendal; and three brothers, Richard (Ann) Kline of Stendal, Kenneth (Jennifer) Kline of Jasper and Gabriel (Carrie) Kline of Dubois.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 30, 2018.  A parish vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
