Marvin Eugene Maxey, 73, Holland

Marvin Eugene Maxey, 73, of Holland, passed away at 5:14 p.m., Saturday, March 6, 2021, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

He was born November 11, 1947, in Huntingburg to Burvis Columbus and Laura (Bayer) Maxey.

He married Carlon C. Wade. 

Marvin enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and a special group of friends. He was a car enthusiast. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; seven siblings, Merle, Jerry Joe, Russell, Les, Linda, Daisy, and Phyllis.

He is survived by his wife, Carlon C. “Carla” Maxey of Holland; two stepchildren, Bill Saileau of Huntingburg and Mary Ann Smith of French Lick; one sister, Faye of Colorado; four grandchildren, Ben (Celia) Wade, Corey Prickett, April and Jessica Saileau; and by two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Marvin Eugene Maxey will be held at 1:00 p.m. EST on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Mayo Cemetery near Duff.

Friends may call for visitation at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the day of the service.
