Marvin E. Kellems, 74
Marvin E. Kellems, age 74, of Birdseye, Indiana, passed away at 1:56 p.m., Thursday, January 2, 2014 in the emergency room of Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
He was born May 5, 1939 in Birdseye, Indiana to Roy H. and Stella I. (King) Kellems.
Marvin retired from Styline Corporation’s maintenance division as an electrician and heating and cooling technician.
He enjoyed woodworking, oil painting and clock making.
Marvin was united in marriage to his second wife Opal L. Lee on March 30, 2003 in Ferdinand, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by: his first wife, Sandra (Gunselman) Kellems, who passed away August 26, 2001 and one brother, Edward J. Kellems.
He is survived by his wife, Opal L. Kellems of Birdseye; one daughter, Karen R. Adams of Eckerty; three sons, Edward D. Kellems of Birdseye, Keith A. Kellems of Eckerty, and Mark A. Kellems of Tell City; two stepchildren, Alvin Buck, Jr. and Anita Lynne Jackson, both of Owensboro, Ky.; one sister, Mabel Eckert of Henderson, Ky.; and four grandchildren.
Graveside services for Marvin E. Kellems will be held at 10:00 a.m., EST, on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Birdseye Cemetery in Birdseye, Indiana.
The Reverend Wayne Pendley will officiate at the service.
Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg has been entrusted with the burial arrangements.
