Martha M. Miller, 76

Martha M. Miller, age 76, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 5:25 p.m., Monday, November 18, 2013 at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand.

She was born May 9, 1937 in Jasper, Indiana to John and Olphia (Krodel) Buchta.

She was united in marriage to Daniel “Mack” Miller on October 27, 1956.

Martha worked at Gossards in Huntingburg, was a clerk at Voegler’s Hardware Store in Jasper, and was a cafeteria worker for the Southwest Dubois County School Corporation.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Jasper and the V.F.W. Post #2366 Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Daniel “Mack” Miller, who died January 9, 2012; two brothers, Robert Buchta and Clyde Buchta; two sisters, Dorothy Stenftenagel and Louise Keller; and one grandson, Aaron Klem.

She is survived by four daughters and four son-in-laws, Idona (Richard) Schipp of Paducah, Ky., Pam (Scott) Sickbert of Jasper, Diane (Ronnie) Cline of Bowling Green, Ky., and Kathy (David) Johannemann of Ferdinand; one sister, Ann Childs of Woodbridge, Va.; and by nine grandchildren, seven step grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Martha M. Miller will be held at 11:00 a.m., E.S.T., on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church in Jasper with burial to follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Velpen.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 4:00-9:00 p.m., on Friday; and also at the Church from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Saturday morning, prior to the funeral.

The V.F.W. Post #2366 Ladies Auxiliary will hold a memorial service at 6:30 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
