Marlin Lee Dorsam, 84

Marlin Lee Dorsam, age 84, of Huntingburg passed away at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
Marlin was born in Haysville, Indiana on November 6, 1929 to Edward and Emma (Opel) Dorsam. He married Wilma Hall on June 26, 1952 at the Christian Church in Huntingburg, Indiana.
Marlin is a Navy Veteran, who served in the Korean War as an Arial Photographer; he then worked as a photographer for Chase Studio. After working at Chase, he owned and operated several gas stations in the Haysville area and drove LP gas for the Kelly Armstrong store.
He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Haysville, the American Legion Post #147, and the V.F.W. Post #673. He was also a chartered member of the Haysville Volunteer Fire Department
He enjoyed photography, going to shooting matches, and going on vacations with his motor home.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma Dorsam of Huntingburg; two daughters, Connie Pritchard, and her husband, Edward, of Friendswood, Texas, and Debbie Sea, and her husband, Walter E., of Stuart, Fla.; four grandchildren, Jason Pritchard, Jessica Hejl, Andrea Mercer, Walter K. Sea.
Funeral services for Marlin Lee Dorsam will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Christ Lutheran Church in Haysville, Indiana, with burial to follow in the Haysville Community Cemetery. Pastor Timothy Kraemer will officiate. The V.F.W. Post #673 will conduct military graveside rites.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2014, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, and one hour before services at the church.
