Marie C. Young, 24

Marie C. Young, 24, of Ireland, Indiana, passed away at 12:05 p.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2015, at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper.

Marie was born in Jasper, Indiana on July 23, 1991 to Alan and Marilee (Jerger) Young.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland, and a member of the Jasper High School Class of 2011.

She attended Four Rivers Resource Services in Washington, Indiana, where her days were full with friends and activities. She attended Camp CARE, a program provided by Jasper Parks and Recreation. She enjoyed county music – especially Carrie Underwood, dancing, watching the History Channel and Animal Planet, knitting scarves, taking long drives, and playing with kittens.

She is survived by her parents, Alan and Marillee Young of Ireland; one sister, Michelle Young, attending Purdue University in West Lafayette; one brother, Austin Young, attending IUPUI in Indianapolis; maternal grandmother, Doretha Jerger of Jasper.

Preceding her in death were her paternal grandparents, Charles and Rita Young, and her maternal grandfather, John Jerger.

Funeral services for Marie Young will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland, IN, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
