Marguerite “Peggy” Nord, 88

Marguerite “Peggy” Nord, 88, of Lincoln City passed away Sunday October 4th at Scenic Hills Care Center, Ferdinand.

She was born September 9, 1927, in Louisville, Ky. to Albert & Gladys (McNabb) Sonderman. She married Clarence Joseph Nord on August 2, 1950 in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on July 21, 1993.

Peggy was a cook and cafeteria worker at Heritage Hills High School. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dale and its St. Anns Sodality, a Eucharistic minister and a volunteered at the church. She was a member Ferdinand Daughters of Isabella. She received the Simon Brute Award through St. Joseph’s Church in Dale. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are one daughter, Kathryn (Kay) Marie Mehling and husband Nicholas of Mariah Hill; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one brother, Art Sonderman and his wife Rita of Ferdinand.

Funeral services 10:00 a.m. CDT Wednesday in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dale. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. CDT Tuesday and 7:00 to 9:30 a.m. CDT Wednesday at Becher Funeral Home, Ferdinand.
