Margie Ingle, 91

Margie Ingle, age 91, of Birdseye passed away Sunday morning, December 22, 2013 at her residence in Birdseye.

She was born December 13, 1922 in Dubois County, Indiana to Verner and Grace (Newton) Borden. She married Albertas Ingle on May 3, 1940 in Henderson, Ky.

Margie was a cook at the Birdseye School before its closing and retired from the former Hoosier Desk Company after 14 years.

Even after retirement, she never stopped working on the little farm where she and Bert lived all their married life. She loved all her little animals, gardening, and most of all her many friends and neighbors whom she was so thankful for and the many who had gone on before.

Margie was a long-time member of the Anderson Valley Christian Church and attended as long as her health permitted.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Albertas Ingle, who passed away March 13, 2007; and one son, Roger Dale Ingle.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Gene (Sharon) King and Mrs. James (Martha) Hughes, both of Birdseye; two sons, Lee Ingle and Randy Ingle,  both of Birdseye; one brother, Robert Borden of Birdseye; six granddaughters; seven great-granddaughters and four great-grandsons; one great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Margie Ingle will be held at 2:00 p.m., EST, on Friday, December 27, 2013, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at the Birdseye Cemetery in Birdseye. Reverend Albert Madden will officiate at the services.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Birdseye Cemetery Association. Condolences may be shared with the family on-line at www.nassandson.com.
