Margaret “Peggy” Ann Oeding, 75, Jasper

Margaret “Peggy” Ann Oeding, 75, of Jasper, passed away on July 28, 2017, at the IU Hospice House in Bloomington.
Peggy was born on March 26, 1942, to Roman and Catherine (Giesler) Kluemper in Jasper. She and her five brothers grew up on the family’s farm in Jasper. On June 30, 1961, she married Fred Oeding and they had five children.
Peggy worked for Avon, Home Interiors, GE, Jasper Seating and retired from Kimball. She received a GED and was a licensed cosmetologist. She enjoyed being with her family and friends; liked country music, polka dancing and ironing. She played the organ, guitar and accordion.
In spite of declining health, Peggy was able to live independently thanks to the loving support of her niece Lisa Voges, her dear friend Debbie Kuper, her brothers and their wives, as well as many other friends and family in her beloved hometown of Jasper. She was an energetic, hard-working, fun-loving person who will be greatly missed.
Peggy is survived by her children of Bloomington, Brian Oeding (wife Karen), Brett Oeding (wife Allison), Heidi Leisz (husband Jeff), Catherine Entzian (partner Jeff Ehman), and Pamela Easton; grandchildren, Grant Leisz of Cincinnati, Ohio, Chase Easton, Alexandra Entzian, Carlie Easton, Jacob Oeding, Grace Oeding, and Blaise Oeding, all of Bloomington; and great granddaughter Giovanna Miosi of Bloomington; brothers, Ken Kluemper (wife Charlene) of Solsberry, William Kluemper (wife Wicky) of Jasper, and Richard Kluemper (wife Linda) of Bowling Green, Kentucky; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, John, Thomas, and Gerald.
Peggy was a follower of Jesus and had faith in the promise of an afterlife. Please join us to celebrate her life at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5 at Precious Blood Church, 1385 West 6th Street, Jasper, Indiana 47546.
She had a heart for others and did so in death as well by donating her body to the IU School of Medicine Anatomical Education Program. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Lange-Fuhs Cancer Center, 800 West Ninth Street, Jasper, Indiana 47546.
