Margaret A. Steckler, 63 of St. Henry died Thursday May 31,2012 at The University Of Cincinnati Hospital.

She was born April 18,1949 in Jasper, In. to Joseph M. & Mary C. (Blackgrave) Rottet. She married Allen Steckler on July 22,1972 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Jasper.

Margaret retired from Masterbrand Cabinets and was working at Bettag Plumbing & Heating in Ferdinand as a secretary.

Surviving are her husband, Allen Steckler.

Two daughters,

  • Mrs. Jeff (Gwen) Lehmkuhler of Versailes, KY
  • Mrs. Brian (Sara) Betz of Schnellville, IN

Three Sons,

  • Adam (Janessa) Steckler
  • Nick (Lori) Steckler
  • Matt (Shanna) Steckler

Margaret was a member of St. Henry Parish and its Christian Mothers Society, Ferdinand American Legion Post 124 Auxillary, Dubois County 4-H Council, St. Henry Community Club. She was secretary of the Sesquicentennial Committee. Margaret taught religion at St. Henry Parish for 12 years. Her hobbies include Quilting, Gardening, Cooking & Babysitting grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday in St. Henry Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 2:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday and from 10:00 AM to services time Monday at St. Henry Church. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity. Condolences may be made at www.becherfuneralhome.com.
