Marcia Kay (Carnes) Land, 69, French Lick

Marcia Kay (Carnes) Land, 69, French Lick, entered eternal rest on September 3, 2024, at Brookside Village in Jasper, Indiana, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born in Bedford, Indiana, on July 9th, 1955, to Elwood and Ada (Knight) Carnes.

Marcia married Danny Land on November 14th, 1975, and he survives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, Roy and Mae Land; grandparents, Elwood and Roma Carnes and Clarence and Ices Knight.

Marcia was a 1973 graduate of Springs Valley High School. She retired from Springs Valley Community Schools and a member of Red Quarry Christian Church and was in the church L.B.O.L Club.

Her love was her husband, kids and grandkids. She enjoyed reading, spending time, and making memories with her family. She always looked forward to lunch dates with her class members.

Marcia is survived by her husband, Danny Land of French Lick; children, Matt Land (Carla) of French Lick, Kari Land of French Lick and Shanna Parker (John) of French Lick; seven grandchildren, Abby and Zack Kaiser, Michael and Lauren Mosher, Tara and Brian Wolfe, Alex and Kelton Allen, Brooke Parker (Dylan Ambrose), Jaxson Reynolds (Gracie) and Matt Mosher (Whitney); five great-grandchildren, Evelyn Mosher, Eleanor Mosher, Mia Mosher, Samuel Allen and Ella Grace; sister, Kathy Cave (Roger) of French Lick; sisters-in-law, Judy Land, Geri Garrison, Kay Land, Joan Jones and Linda Beyers; brothers-in-law, Bob Land, Dale and Linda Land, and Forest Jones; aunts, Betty Kerns and Elsie Carnes; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral ceremony will be conducted by Brother Darrell Land and Brother Joe Crow on Monday, September 9th, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Red Quarry Christian Church with burial to follow at Mount Lebanon Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Sunday, September 8, 2024, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Monday, September 9, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at Red Quarry Christian Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Red Quarry Christian Church, 10908 County Road 25 N., French Lick, IN 47432 or Mount Lebanon Cemetery, c/o Mendy Buffington, 7735 W. County Pike, West Baden, IN 47469.
