Marching Wildcats take fourth at State

The Jasper Marching Wildcats took home a fourth place trophy at the ISSMA State Marching Band finals in Indianapolis on Saturday.

The Wildcats marched a solid program called “Divine Messengers,” but competition was heavy this year in class B.

After the awards were handed out band director James Goodhue said “we don’t have any complaints, we had a good show.”

But, Goodhue admitted he was a little disappointed because he is used to his band finishing higher and he was disappointed for the seniors who finished their final performance as a member of the Marching Wildcats.

The first place trophy went to Greenwood, followed by Concord of Elkhart and Northview of Brazil. The three perennial favorites underscore how difficult it is to win and make the case for how truly special 2012 was for Jasper when they won first place.
