‘March to August’ to Headline “Halfway to the Folk Fest” Fundraiser

Local music fans have an exciting evening to look forward to this spring. March to August will headline the “Halfway to the Folk Fest” fundraiser on Friday, April 10, at The Gaslight Pizza and Grill on 4th Street in Huntingburg. Local singer-songwriter Chris Dixon will open the show.
Doors open at 7 p.m. (eastern), with Dixon taking the stage at 7:30 p.m. and March to August performing at approximately 8:15 p.m. The Gaslight’s full food and beverage menu will be available throughout the evening.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for ages 18 and under. They can be purchased at the door or in advance via Venmo @FerdinandFolkFest — be sure to note “Halfway to the Folk Fest Tix” in the payment. Capacity is limited, so early ticket purchase is encouraged.
March to August is an Ozark Mountains-based string duo comprised of Derrick and Jodi Mears. The pair are known for their storytelling, thought-provoking lyrics, and intricate instrumentation, blending Americana, Alt-Country, and Bluegrass into a roots-driven sound. Derrick brings rich vocals alongside banjo and guitar, while Jodi anchors the duo with bass, stomp box percussion, and lap steel — together producing a surprisingly full sound for just two musicians. The duo previously performed on the Main Stage at the Ferdinand Folk Festival in 2023.
