Manley announces bid for re-election to Jasper Council

Kevin Manley will seek re-election as the Sixth District Jasper City Councilman subject to the May Republican Primary.

Manley, 60, has served eight and a half years on the council.

Manley is the Executive Director of the Dubois County Visitors Center, a position he has held for three and one half years.  He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Indiana Tourism Association and a member of the Southern Indiana Marketing Cooperative.  He serves as Chairman of the Radius Tourism Pillar.  He is the Treasurer of DC Multisport, a non-profit corporation dedicated to promoting sports tourism in Dubois County. He is on the Board of Directors for Sports Indiana, a statewide organization dedicated to the same purpose.

Kevin Manley is a member and former board member of the Jasper K of C.  He is also a member of the Moose Lodge #1175 and the Jasper American Legion Post.

Prior to assuming the position with the Dubois County Visitors Center, Manley worked for Kimball International and Dad’s Root Beer Company.

A 1972 graduate of Jasper High School, Manley has been an active sportsman all his life. He served nine years as a 7th grade basketball coach and three years as a Pony League coach.

Earlier this year Manley was awarded the “Girls on the Run Spirit Award.”

He and his wife, Diane, have three adult children and reside on Sunset Drive.
