Magnificent Circus Mystery coming to the Jasper Arts Center

Audiences at this weekend’s performance of The Magnificent Circus Mystery will find themselves taking part in solving the mystery of the disappearance of Baldy the Magnificent.

The onstage mystery adventure featuring magic, juggling, unicycling and comedy is presented by Jasper Community Arts and performed by Page Turner Adventures at the Jasper Arts Center on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at 3:30 p.m.

A steamer trunk, a mysterious book, and a hat belonging to Harry Houdini begin a show filled magic, juggling, unicycling, and physical comedy. The audience must solve clues, overcome obstacles, and figure out a 90 year-old-secret as they help to create the story from beginning to end.

The mystery begins when Storyologist Page Turner and Storyologist-in-Training Kenny discover an unusual trunk that once belonged to a famous vaudevillian named Baldy the Magnificent who disappeared “on this very day” in 1927. The trunk contains Baldy’s juggling props, along with a strange book and an old hat that once belonged to Harry Houdini.

With help from the Once-Upon-a-Time Machine AND the entire audience, Page and Kenny finally discover the real secret of Baldy the Magnificent.

Filled with slapstick comedy, magical airships, secret keys, ancient books, curious trunks and tons of audience interaction, The Magnificent Circus Mystery is perfect for family audiences and anyone who loves a good mystery.

Tickets for this performance are still available. Those interested in attending should call the Jasper Arts Center right away at 812-482-3070. Tickets are $20 for adults and $8 for students and children. Group rates are available. Children 10 and under receive free admission with each paid adult admission.
